DJ&A, P.C. provided the preliminary design and NEPA*/SEPA** documentation for the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River Road.
The project is located in King County, Washington east and north of North Bend on Forest Highway 29. The work was completed in three parts: Part 1 - Environmental studies and public involvement; Part 2 - Draft environmental document preparation; and Part 3 - Final environmental document preparation.
DJ&A also fulfilled the survey and design portion for the completion of the EIS (Environmental Impact Statement). DJ&A performed ground topography surveys, including ties to existing culture; cross section and radial survey methods were utilized. Bathometric surveys, stream profiles and cross sections at culvert crossings requiring fish passage and bridge locations in sufficient detail to support HY8 and HEC-RAS analyses were provided. Boring locations and pits were also located. Additional site surveys were completed and topographic mapping data at 1' contour intervals along breaklines was inserted into the aerial mapping files.
Our team also completed the alternative selection process, preliminary design, IHSDM modeling (click to learn more), public involvement, resource studies & reports, cultural reports and preparation of the EIS document.
